What is CRIS?

 

CRIS is an information research service that provides research assistance on any topic. CRIS offers a variety of services ranging from citation verification to comprehensive literature retrieval and analysis.   With access to electronic resources in all fields, CRIS can provide in-depth reviews on technical topics, companies and industries; corporate intelligence; summary reports on the results of database searches and on document contents. The level and type of service provided is determined through consultation with you.  CRIS guarantees complete client confidentiality.

 

CRIS operates in cooperation with the UC Engineering Library. The CRIS librarian is Suellen Fortine.  She is funded by the College of Engineering through a personal services contract. The College pays her fee for faculty using CRIS services, within specified limits. Faculty may contact Dorothy Byers for further information.

CRIS is a fee-based information service. Charges for services vary according to the level and type of service provided. The fee schedule gives more detailed information.

SUELLEN FORTINE

 

Suellen Fortine is the contract librarian offering Custom Research Information Services (CRIS), a fee-based information service providing customized research assistance on any topic. CRIS offers a variety of services ranging from citation verification to comprehensive literature retrieval and analysis. The CRIS service is used by U.C. faculty members doing grants research and by other professionals and businesses in the Cincinnati area.

Suellen has a B.A. in Economics from Denison University and an M.L.S. from the University of Texas at Austin. She has over 20 years of professional library experience in a variety of settings, including as online searching specialist at Ethicon Endo-Surgery in Blue Ash and as medical librarian at Good Samaritan Hospital.
